It amazes me how they know what you really want even though it isn't what you asked for!! Don't they even listen or do they just zone out when you ask for something?
In Our town, its the co-op or nothing, but they are fairly knowledgeable about feed since they sell so much. I think almost every one in cannon co.has an animal of some kind, mostly horses goats and jack@##. but they are nice.
the coop where i get feed.knows when i come in that i need of some sort.esp since i buy cattle feed an chicken feed there.they just ask how meny sacks i need.an sometimes the jokers ask if im paying or charging the feed.an they know full well that i charge all the feed.
I stopped in at the local Del's for the first time the other day, asking for food grade DE. The gal had NO idea what I was talking about so I just asked for Diatomaceous earth. She said they don't carry it. The locally owned feed store will get all my business now. They know about chickens, and feed and they are very nice.
shakes head....I find it best to just put the know it all in his place from the start and in the future he'll do all he can to avoid you.
this is basically what my husband told me. He said that I have to let him know that I *know* what I want, and it's not up for discussion. He said to make sure when I come in that wise butt can say "that's a woman who knows what she wants". He also told me not to change feed stores based on the jerk, to base which feed store I go to on quality, price, convenience etc. and to stand my ground. Dh tends to think he wouldn't treat a man the same way. I think he's prob. right.

Hello there. I'm out in Wahkiakum County and felt a little dirty when I had to go to Dell's for Milk Replacer. ... but L&J was out, Breezeway doesn't stock it, etc.
