Guardian Dog for Ducks

Aussies are very popular here in the States. My SIL has two pet-quality ones that make her very happy though she has no work for them to do, they are truly just pets. The younger female is a gorgeous red merle that has stolen my heart. I think she would be amazing at visiting patients in hospitals or nursing homes, agility, or both. And I don't think I've said that about hospital visiting about more than one other dog in my life. She's just an outstanding little girl. I told my SIL, if she ever disappears, don't come looking for her at my place ..... because this is where she will certainly be, lol!

Yes! They do good work and there's also afew breed specific rescues inspired by them. She's beautiful! Cattle dogs make fantastic gaurd dogs! Alot of builders keep them on back of their vechiles to gaurd tools from sticky fingers, and they keep both animal and human out of your yard. I'd love one but too rough with sheep

Yep, I can see that. We don’t have any livestock, but she LOVES to herd golf balls when my husband hits them in the yard, and she loves to play soccer and fetch. She also attacks things like shovels and takes and pretty much any hand tools
