I want to see how many of you can get the sex right.

I got this one from TSC during chick days. I try to stay away from most hatchery chicks, but they were so crowded I had rescue a couple.

Pic 2 from the rear

It was just under 6 weeks old in these pics. Larger then all the others except 1. Buff color with blue in it's neck feathers and a Blue tail came later.

It came from a Tractor Supply Company store, so it was from what ever hatchery they got the chicks from. The people there had no idea what they were doing. They even had the bin of Bantams marked as all pullets. No hatchery I have ever heard of sells seced bantams. I got it as a Buff Orp, but that ain't right. The other Buff Orp I got at the same time turned out to be a Hew Hampshire Red.

Simple answer is I have no clue. Sucker weighs a ton, but not an unhealthy weight from the way it grew. At 6 weeks old it weighed a good 3 pounds. I still have it and it runs about 11 pounds. Been extremely friendly since day 1 and 'Friendly' is it's name. Likes to be held and petted.

I use "it" until I show a recent Pic. Gender is obvious today.
