Could you explain that? How does a black feather relate to a white leghorn cross?

White leghorns are (generally speaking) dominant white, not silver (like a Delaware). Dominant white covers just about everything. However there are usually one or two colored feathers that will slip past the white if the bird only carries one white gene.
