No, I was not able to keep it. I had it for a very long time but I had to sell it because I was broke. Of course I regret it but you have to do things unpleasant in this life. One of those grown up moments but yes I wish I still had it.

That's too bad. I still hear from my dad occasionally about the cherry red Chevelle SS he let get away.

When I was 16, my first ticket was for Wreckless Operation.

I had me a 68 Plymouth that could stand 'em up at a redlight.
That big 440 might of not been quite stock. Registered 160 MPH
on the dash and I could twist it past that.

Not sure my brain was actually functioning when I was 16.

That Mopar was bad fast.

Lot of crazy kids back when I was a teen. One boy had a black
69 Camaro, parachute, wheelie bars, big hood scope. I tried him,
but that was one mean Camaro on the street.

Those were fun days.

about 20yrs ago me and my dad rebuilt a 1969 chevy camero with a 302 (no not a ford motor). since i was 13/14 we went to swap meets and i could get things for cheap cause nobody figured i knew what i was looking at or talking about!

it always amazed me how many old timers there didnt have a clue that chevy made a 302 motor. i miss that car. dad sold it and bought a 1968 RS/SS convertible camero.

Had a Muncie rock crusher in the transmission and used to love to drive that thing around. Only standard I have ever driven where you didnt have to used the clutch if you didnt want to. I've never had a muscle car. I do however own a 71 Jaguar EType. One of the first of the V12's

Had an XJ-12 also....not super fast on the launch, but a strong top end
car. Handled well.

Like the Mercedes, an slower lauching car. About thirty feet before it begins
to take off.

The E-320 kicks into passing gear at about 110. Car is built for big speed.

But these imports are expensive to repair. Very expensive. $1200.00 for a
Mercedes tune-up. Scrapped an Audi diesel over the glow plugs. Couldn't
afford them. Had a little BMW, cheaper parts, but not much of a car.

Muscle cars were the way!
