POLK SALAD!!!

I haven't had this stuff in YEARS!!! It smells so good cooking in the kitchen. I've got my egg, bacon and onion waiting for the toxins to finish boiling out. Southern dining at its finest (wish I had some cornbread)!

Isn't it WONDERFUL! Im putting mine through the 3rd and final boiling now. It is so good with scrambled eggs. I like to think of it as redneck fugu- if its not prepared right, it could kill ya. I had to travle north to get it.

I have a field full of poke berry plants you can have. I'm digging the whole thing up to make room for some corn.

. I was born and raised in the south and never heard about eating the stuff until a few years ago.

I always freeze some at the end of the summer and take it out to eat around January.
