guess what i found out about express mail!!

The person who ships the birds has a receipt with a time of the day they will be delivered by. I f they do not arrive at the scheduled time you take the slip back to your post office for a full refund on shipping. Now, as I found out some places like parts of Louisana can't get the mail in 24 hours from Dothan , Al. They only guaranteed 48 but those birds did arrive early.
I have received a full refund twice. All the birds did arrive safely, just late.

I did talk to the lady who shipped my birds and the only thing she can think of is that she does ship packages to her son who is in the service quite often and thinks the post office made the mistake when filling out the shipping label.

they didn't come in on the first 2 trucks and there is one still due around 3pm yet. our post office reads the track # same as we see in online. i notified the breeder she said other birds she mailed same day to fl arrived this am. she is worried also. how do we track it or find more info out if they r not scanning anywhere????

my post office can't tell me anything cuz last scan is austin tx on the 18th nothing scanned since.

i called 1-800-usps something, and i hate automated calls got through to someone fineally they said same thing can't help either gave me the po # for consummer affairs in my area and noone answered so left a message.

i looked up on usps and called the po they were shipped from in tx and she took down my info and said she would call around to several places and see if she can locate them and will call me back as soon as she hears anything. she said they r late and someone will be getting a refund. i said ugg!! that's what happened last time now they have litterly lost the birds this is crazy. she said i won't keep u on hold i'll call u back.

as i was typeing she called back and said i have to call my po back and to have them call their plant the mail comes from which is sorting facility.

i called my po and talked to post master and was told the trucks for express were already here today no more trucks will be in and hopefully they will be here tomarrow. i said what?!?? she said yes the 3pm truck is not an express truck and she is NOT calling all over the countryside to find them that SHE would not even know where to start, hello i told her where to call and the other lady said all it would take was a few phone calls and she could find them. i said um they have no food or water it is live birds u just can't say they make it or they don't and hopefully will be here tomarrow. she said well u'd have to contact the seller for them to get their refund if the birds don't make it and r doa and they will get a refund for shipping.

i'm fumming mad r these people idiots or what???

how can they not care if an animal makes it to it's new home and not eat or drink for 3 days???

i don't want a refund that wasn't the point i want the birds i picked out for breeders, they were to be for pets and we all had our hearts set on haveing them as pets. i'm totally heart broken and at a loss for words now.

I'm sorry to hear that. Chances are, as many packages as they deal with, this is just another package. That's not how we all feel (I always get excited when we get animals in

), but some do.

They need to stop guranteeing a certain time frame to your location if they can't fulfill it.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear you're going thru this silkiechick. I recently had 2 Express shipments sent in and both were guaranteed for 2nd day and arrived next day. I was thrilled at the service, but I also think I'm in a good location (near Phila airport) and get good shipping times. I hope they arrive safely for you. 3 days is not that terrible and I've had some of my birds take that long to get out west and still arrive happy and healthy.

well i'm not giveing up they r live animals and my babies so i am still raiseing heck!! so is the tx post office that sent them i just talked to her again. we r all praying they r good and will arrive safe and soon even if i have to drive somewhere to go get them.

she is calling my post office and raiseing heck to get info and #'s and she said she is more worried than i am and she will keep calling. she doesn't care if my town won't call or not and she feals it is her responsibility to make sure where they r and they r ok. she was calling while i was and found out after austin they went by air cargo tues evening on fedx and to memphis. she said they should have hit pa on wed.

i called back the consummer affairs lady and she is calling pittsburg my nearest big airport plant thing to see what she can do there and to alert them to watch for them and to notify them they r missing. she is going to call around and call me back also.

so now i got to find out the memphis fedx # how do i go about that?

well after all the calls and raiseing some heck and tracking still not showing anything, oh and the only express mail truck was already in today. the po JUST called and the pigeons r fineally HERE!!! OMG it is a mirical!!! she said at the po, the postmaster there was noway they would be in today and tomarrow morning at the earliest.

they must a done some fast shipping since i started freaking on the phone to people, rotfl. my mail lady opened the window to check on them and she said they r both fine and up and around looking now that she has peeked in on them and DH is on his way to go get them.

consummers affair for pittsburg just called and said r u sure cause as of 10 min ago they never even scanned in pittsburge hub. so they have no idea how they got here.

i will let u know how they look and r doing soon as they r home and out to eat and drink.
