if you want to know for sure you could do a DNA test but i dont think thats necessary. all you gotta do is be petient!

Those red eggs look amazing! I've never heard of croad langshan before but it's a good looking bird. I may have to see if I can find some!

There is one egg in there. I think they put the plums in around it to show its color.

Just in case anyone was wondering about them, as I was. I followed the link through the googled picture, although I don't see much else that looks like that. Anyone have this particular breed? Or can weigh in on color?

This is so funny. I posted on here to see what age you all thought and never imagined it would be a breed discussion! LOL. My friend has BCM and RIR in their flock. They are only breeding their BCM so I know this juvenile I got is from a BCM hen with their BCM roosters. I saw the roos and they are for sure BCM. I did notice that some of their hens had the copper through their hackle feathers and some didn't. I asked about that and he said that the copper is desired and they are hoping to continue to breed with those hens. However, I am having a hard time distinguishing between the BCM and the Langshan breeds. They look sooooo similar!
