Guinea fowl broke its talon. Not an emergency

I don't think we have any cuticle scissors I asked my mom and she said we don't as far as she knows, we scissors for cutting yarn and thread though.

My mom is letting me use these, she is also saying I should wait till tomorrow so I can see what I'm doing better. Do you think it will be okay to make her wait till tomorrow? I really don't want to make her wait so long.
She uses them for yarn but she's letting me keep these ones for them.

That's very kind of your Mom to let you use her lovely scissors.

Go with Mom's advice. You do want to be able to see well.

A light swabbing of rubbing alcohol on the scissors is fine.
Okay, I'll wait till morning.
Should I keep her seprerate from all the other chickens and ducks and have her with the other guinea by themselves?
Thank you for you all for your advice!
I call the guinea with the nail problem Doodle and the other one is Frankie.

Lots of good advice here. She may have removed it herself overnight. If she didn't try to, take it off. Since it's her toe, it will be hard to keep it clean. Try to clean it for the night. If you wrap her in a towel and cover her face she'll calm down a little. If possible have a family member hold her for you. Guineas aren't as compliant as most chickens.

P.S. I love guineas! She's beautiful!

Thank you! I think the guineas are beautiful too!
My guineas are okay with me being around them for the most part even hopping on my back almost everyday, but they don't particularly like me holding them.
Today I'll have my sister help.

She did not lose the nail overnight.
