i rarely hatch eggs but our guineas have been hatching some very interesting ones so here we go i set it up a few hours ago still waiting for it to warm up to 101

so first one of our hens consistently lays roundish egg so i am incubating 2 of those

next this weird carrot looking dark brown egg

next this egg is brown on one side and has a brown spot in the center of the other side

and then this normal egg i thought looked cool

Oh I'm not judging you- I've done lots of thing others view as ill-advised. I just have this fear of exploding eggs in the incubator contaminating the rest. I had one with an unseen crack. Eventually I caught and removed it when it started seeping. General consensus in here was this was why I ended up w/a mushy belly button epidemic.

One of the problems in hatching deformed eggs is bringing undesired genetics into the flock.
