Guinea Hen with diarrhea and soiled vent

ACV is not helpful when dealing with soft shell issues as it interferes with the calcium uptake.

You can feed her dried and crushed egg shells which are more enticing than crushed oyster shells to my birds and will provide a little additional protein too.
Thank you, I'll try that. She never laid on a regular basis, and her eggs have always been thick shelled. But I guess if she's laying internally that doesn't matter, although it's still impossible to know what's going on for sure. How would the extra calcium help, and is there any down side? Thanks for taking the time to help.

just checking in to see how Winnie is doing.
Thanks Sydney, that's very kind of you. She's doing okay, eating everything in front of her and acting normal. We gave her another 20 minute epsom soak yesterday, and the belly issue seems about the same. Very firm, but not noticably bigger. I'm just trying various things like oregano powder, probiotics and a small amount of fresh Aloe vera to see if anything helps. They are getting very little scratch, and no more corn. They always eat a ton of greens and some melon, and are eating the All Flock Crumbles too. She hasn't shown any interest in taking the crumbled calcium tablet or oyster shells, which is what many are suggesting. I don't understand how extra calcium would help if she's laying internally. Would laying an egg help push through whatever is in that enlarged belly? I have never seen her lay a soft shelled egg, but I guess they or the Squirrels could have eaten it before I saw it. We are not even considering trying to drain it until I see some sign of respiratory issue.
