And oh yes, I would definitely get at least 2 or more. I heard they were kind of herd like animals like actual pigs?

You should look for info about that on Matt's forum, I think. I was told that they don't like "just anyone", they are a bit like rabbits where you need to consider who you put them with, and they bond. I believe they can also fight, so look into that. I know I'd considered putting others in but decided to stick with just my pair.

As for room, they are like bunnies in that they need "running about room" but unlike bunnies in that they only have little legs so they don't need as much room as a bunny would to move. If you let them out in a run or inside to run about, then they could have a smaller "bedroom", but my general rule of thumb is 'bigger is better'. I think most questions of size arise when they are just stuck in a hutch and that's that, but if you are letting them out to play, giving them some lawn time and interacting with them, the size of their house isn't as important.
