Gummy yolk??

I had this chick make it to internal pip on day 20, it never made it any further and died. I opened the egg and a lot of what seems to be yolk was present, some of it was extremely hard and gummy. The chick had partially absorbed the yolk sac and it was intact, not leaking. So what was this other gummy, yolk substance? The hen does lay double yolk eggs from time to time, this egg wasn't as big as her double yolks and I never noticed an extra yolk when candling. I'm stumped, never had this happen before IMAG2251.jpg I've attached pictures of the partially absorbed yolk sac and the weird gummy stuff. TIA

If second pic was completely separate from yolk still attached to chick in second pic,
then it could indeed have been a second yolk in egg.

Thank you! It was completely separate,. Throughout the whole incubation process, the chick in that egg always seemed to be moving less and slower than other eggs when candled, there was a couple times I thought it had died due to lack of any movement. I guess it makes sense now.
