Our muzzleloader season doesn’t open until the 10th, but rifle closes tomorrow. But of course it’s supposed to rain all day tomorrow. Guess I’ll have to get out the bow for Sunday.

went out shopping at a hunting store for some ammo and other items and saw they had a sale on there guns. could not help myself and i got a savage rascal for dispatching raccoons and other small fur bearers.
main reason is they can shoot shorts and longs as well as long rifle making them pretty useful little dispatch guns,
also got mine in hot pink lol.
haha yes.Glad you can get in touch with your feminine side while you dispatch nasty critters.![]()
It's my go-to. Great all around rifle, rounds are cheap and easily available. Deer and pronghorn yes, reasonable takedown on wild hogs, don't know about bears.just wondering what are your guys thoughts on the 7.62x39mm for hunting? i have a Russian sks its a 1954 tula all matching parts never been shot before. (and for only $280 Canadian i think it was a great buy)
but reading about the round seems to have mixed opinions, some say its an untapped round with great potential others think its a cheap plinking round, with maybe little hunting purposes.
so what would you hunt with it? i know moose and elk are pretty much out of the picture. what about deer, pronghorn, hogs and bears (black)?
