Would love to if I could find the ammo!

Seems like physisists (sp?) have succeeded in turning lead into gold. At least value wise!

There's no lack of ammo here for us - we stocked up because we saw this all coming. I don't know why Buster can't find .22 ammo, though, any Walmart around here that still sells ammo has plenty of it.

Yeah, we have set aside some too, but there can never be too much,

plus it is NOT for plinking.

We have to buy more if we are going to be playing with it.

And I know they have a harder time getting it in some places then in others.

This reminds me of a thing they did on a show where they got secret actors and a man was acting like he was abducting a kid. The kid was screaming, kicking, saying "this is not my dad - someone help" and there were about 10 folks who just walked by and not even looked that way! I was in shock of that. Finally some thug looking guy came over and rescued the kid!

....and this was on a busy street in NYC......I just can't believe people would walk away from that and not even look ---

We got more rednecks around here, I reckon. More likely for an Okie to panic about [ahem] the recent White House change than someone in MA.

That is a horrible story, I am so thankful everyone was OK.

Just yesterday in our closest 'big' town of 8,000

my cousin stopped at a stop sign and saw a man laying on the ground being beaten and kicked. They called 911 and it took 15 MINUTES for the cops to come. They only had 5 or 6 blocks to go!!

What would have happened if they had not been there, with his gun, ready to help? The cops werent ready! The perp came within inches of killing that man. When he drove away the skid marks were inches away from the man on the ground.

I have never had more confidence in their complete protection. Far as I know, this is the first president who was an expert on constitutional law.

Wish y'all would calm down about it and stop buying up all the ammo, too. I can't even target practice any more because bullets are so dang expensive and hard to find. Have to save 'em for them 'yotes.

Who mentioned the current president?? But as far as that is concerned he backed the DC handgun ban and the handgun ban in Chicago. Not to constitutional ehhhh?

He also back the recent SCOTUS decision on the DC handgun ban, much to my dismay.

Just read the link:
"It(passing the law to mandate gun ownership) was done in response to a law passed by Morton Grove, Ill., outlawing gun ownership within the city limits,"

Morton Grove, Oak Lawn--You name the Chicago suburbs--I grew up in Tinley Park--they started it.

I TOLD YOU ABOUT THE DIRTY DOGS IN ILLINOIS!!

Which is EXACTLY why if our rights to keep and bear arms are taken away, then the criminals will become BOLDER and we won't be able to do diddly-squat.

The crime rate in places like Washington D.C. and New York is so high partially because it is either impossible or very hard to get your hands on a gun there (legally). The criminals don't have any problems getting them...

Edited to add: And Kennesaw, GA is a PERFECT example of armed citizens deterring crime - everyone KNOWS they are armed, thus the crime rate is extremely low!!!

Thank goodness they did have their guns. I can't believe it took that long . . . I sincerely hope the cops were on another call, so they have a legitimate excuse for taking so long. I know it may seem weird to some folks, but I do feel more secure when I'm in public and I know the people around me could be carrying concealed weapons. If folks weren't allowed to carry in this state I would probably be tearing my hair out with anxiety.

My family has stories about the bad side of gun ownership, as well, the worst probably being what happened to my grandfather's mother. She was married to the Sheriff, and he left his gun on top of the fridge when not on duty. My grandfather and his siblings were eating breakfast, so they all saw it when she was cleaning the top of the fridge . . . the gun fell and went off, killing her. Gun safety was drilled into our heads, and because of that story I'm never quite comfortable in the presence of a gun unless someone has it in their hands or on their person.
