I sure am glad I didn't get too technical when I saw the picture Rebel posted, or I would have called it a single column single position feed detachable box magazine for a model TT33 autopistol.

With that I have to ask why no one makes a double stacked small frame .22 auto. It defeats the purpose of buying the .22 an not the 9mm if the both hold 10 rounds. If 10 9mms fit in the handle 20 .22s should.

Rimfire ammo (.22's) don't feed very well in double stack configuration in magazines. They are difficult enough in single stack magazines, double stack magazines are almost a nightmare. The only weapon that I've ever known that could reliably feed .22 rimfire in a double stack magazine was/still is the Ruger 10/22 semi-auto rifle. No semi-auto handguns that I am aware of enter this field of reliability. Revolvers, however, are a totally different animal.
