Gurgling cemani roo

View attachment 1138144 Gave the remaining birds vaccine this morning.
All looking v subdued tho.

Another 10 deaths so far today - 19 in two days.

My best birds!

:hit:hit:hit

On the positive side there's still a bunch of caged chicks all looking fine.

Will do my best to keep them away from the carnage.

This was/is the worst our flock has been hit by any disease in the 4 years I've had chooks.

Talk about learning lessons the hard way.

Oh No!
Hopefully your chicks will remain healthy. Are you planning on vaccinating them when the time comes? I agree, keeping them housed in a separate area until you can get this under control is a very good idea.

... and another five dead this morning ...

Now down to about 6 mature chooks.

At least 26 dead in past three days.

... does this kinda thing happen a lot to people? Blink twice and whole flock wiped out in 3 days?
Wondering what it was.
Note comb of big roo today blue
