Gut Feelings -- YEP SHOULD OF LISTENED -- update with pics

No idea about what "Burn him out " meant. I wasn't asking questions and simply had a fine time with my family.

Boyd, you are one tough cookie. Read a post about why you stay in a bad place. When time passes, come to East Texas. I haven't spoken to your outlaws yet.

Oh, I don't stay in flint, just one of the outlying sub burbs on an old farm where most of the land is gone. The property has 5 acres that's mostly wooded with brush now a days (working on fixing that) and I'll only be able to till about an acre to start next spring. Being stuck in Michigan is hard, but I would love to move to Texas with the rest of the family!!

What makes it hard, is the house I'm in is in a great school district and it's paid for. Sure it's off a busy street where the old house wasn't but maybe that'll be perfect for the farm stand

Humans are the least instinctive animals... well, maybe lemmings too... and it's a shame.

If we tapped our senses, instincts, heck even common sense, I imagine we could save ourselves a LOT of trouble.

If a person trips my radar (weird way to put it I know) then I steer clear. If unable to immediately do that I'm on Defense and ready to defend just in case... and I'm a decent sprinter... even with the MomBod... I can bolt when the need arises. Usually regret it later, when I'm wheezing and my knees are throbbing... but adrenaline is a wonderful thing.

My "gut instinct" is inoperative. I rely on my guardian angel who averts trouble for me. On the other hand, my wife's intuitive abilities are off the chart. I defer to her in almost all interpersonal decisions. Some of the things she senses are truely scarey. She reads me like a book which causes me to behave.

Even I am intuitive enough to know that the clown who has young girls touching him is way off base. First the shoulders, then?

I've learned to trust my instincts and have many stories like the rest of you. However, my husband has about the best "BS" detector of anyone I know! If he's not buying something then neither am I. I've learned the hard way that I should have trusted him in many instances!

I listen to mine nearly everyday. I sort of live by my gut.

One of the more recent times was during some building my DH and i were doing. We were recycling old wood and it had few old nails in it which we removed. My DH had cut about 12 pieces already with his circ saw with no incident. He had the final piece lined up and was about to make the cut and i shouted out, "wait, check for a nail before you cut." He did and there was and it was lined up to the blade perfectly. This type of thing happens a lot. Like so many here, i have learned the hard way to listen. For myself, it became easier over time to differentiate between my mind and my "intuition". I have also noticed a fair amount of "serendipity" in my life.

Back to the original question.. yes I have very good "gut" instincts and always regret not paying attention. I knew when my DH was injured in Vietnam both times even though I was not notified til days later.Always knew when my son was injured or in trouble. Knew to the moment when my adopted parents were dying...one I was able to get to intime to hold the other I wasn't. And no my DH never questions it.
