guys I need urgent help plz guide asap

Currently going thru a bad experience too. First time user of a Reptipro 6000 and I think humidity was too high. Have had to help each one out so far. The last one I decided to wait as it was very active and actually had the shell rolling around. Checked the following morning and chick was dead. Really bothered me as I was tempted to help. I am typically not as agressive but with the results I have been getting with this batch don't see another choice. I also going with a dry hatch next time. I have followed several threads on this type of incubator that find great sucess with this method.....hoping I can save a few more.

Sorry to hear about your bad hatch. There is an article in the Learning Center about the dry incubation method that I think will interest you.

jamalkhan, update?

Yes till now ive got 19 chicks healthy n active in my brooder :) in which two of them were those which I assisted them coz of malpostitioning
Now the remaining three are external pipped and coz of opening bator again and again im worried for them and the ohter 4 that are internal pipped ..fingers crossed :(

Till now my hatch is fine but waiting for some more to hatch little nervous also because of opening lid again and again and disturbing the pipped one's

Sohana reptipro are the worst one go for gqf hova bator it is best for table top incubators currently im usimg hova bator1588 genesis digital thermostat which is preset for chicken and most of the birds and without any hassle I ve got two hatches with hatchability around 94 percent ..now my 3rd hatch I callibrated its temp slighlty otherwise it needs no adjustment very user friendly model I must say go for it and u will stop worrying about ur eggs :)

Congrats on all the chicks you have hatching!!! Sounds like you are doing a great job.

There is a chance that by opening the incubator lid while having external pips that the chicks could have gotten shrink wrapped due to a quick drop in humidity. Give them time to try to work themselves out before assisting. If you need to open the lid while other eggs are externally pipped, a good trick is to bring the incubator into the bathroom and shut the door, run a hot shower until the bathroom is steamy. Once the bathroom is good and steamy you can open the lid and the humidity wont drop in the incubator. But still do your best to not have to open the lid much more. It is called lockdown for a reason
