Guys please help me!

ok, so. I have hatched one batch before a few months ago. This is my second batch and I'm trying to start. However. No matter how dry the incubator is the humidity gage keeps telling me it's like 70-80 degreees. I have dried it with a towel, blow dried it. Wiped it down till not a single drop of water is in it and the humidity is still very high. I had the eggs in for about 10 min till I realized this. Then I took them out. Please help me! I don't have a humid place to store the eggs overnight and I'll be gone all weekend they have to go in now!

How humid is it in your house? We are sitting at 83% humidity in the air right now.

Idk. Ok so, I just let the incubator run for a little bit ( not even 5 min) and the water that was hiding came to the top and I wiped it up. So now it's at 57. Wait no now it's going back up it's now at 59. Should I just repeat this process till it's gone?

Do not believe your hygrometer. I would try a second source and/or research and take a wet bulb measurement.

But last hatch it was dead on. It has been in garage since

Maybe your hygrometer is close. Check your local humidity online.

Above link: directions for wet bulb measurement of humidity. You can use cotton shoestring or t-shirt if you do not have gauze.
