Ive never had a cochin roo except for some bantam's but they are big sweet lovable fur balls.

I'll post a pic of him later. He is musch smaller than the Australorps
but bigger than bantam or silkie chicks the same age.

My cochins are beautiful. When they run they kinda do a run, hop, skip and then take off like a plane. They crack me up.

I had to cull my first silkie yesterday.

She was sickly and small and never got better so I figured the best thing to do was cull her.
I don't think she could see very well either.

I've had to cull 30 to 50 chicks, quail, and full grown birds. It's part
of having a flock.

Processing chickens for food is so much easier to me than euthanizing
a sick bird.

How do you feather sex cochins? I just got 2 banty cochins at the feed store. I hope they are not roos.
