Im pretty positive you are past the not making it stage. It definitely looks like the membrane was dry and adding the coconut oil helped. If you didn't add it I believe that she would have a hard time developing more because the membrane needs to stay moist.I got a pretty cool pic of ET while I was putting on the oil. It seemed to help quite a bit. Here it is. I'm pretty sure it's her head, there's some dark rows of feathers on it.View attachment 2153831
What is ET? Chicken? Duck? I probably won't see the answer to this right away but I want to know. This thread is awesome!I thought about coconut oil too. I just don't want to do anything that could harm it. We're on day 13 today. Also, ET's whole body is covered by brown feathers! It has a few lighter ones on its belly and back. Kinda mottled looking. So cute! I'll probably post some pics this evening again.
