I got a pretty cool pic of ET while I was putting on the oil. It seemed to help quite a bit. Here it is. I'm pretty sure it's her head, there's some dark rows of feathers on it.

Im pretty positive you are past the not making it stage. It definitely looks like the membrane was dry and adding the coconut oil helped. If you didn't add it I believe that she would have a hard time developing more because the membrane needs to stay moist.

I thought about coconut oil too. I just don't want to do anything that could harm it. We're on day 13 today. Also, ET's whole body is covered by brown feathers! It has a few lighter ones on its belly and back. Kinda mottled looking. So cute! I'll probably post some pics this evening again.

What is ET? Chicken? Duck? I probably won't see the answer to this right away but I want to know. This thread is awesome!
