Half silkie half cemani

Sorry, they will not have the silkie feathers, as this is a recessive trait. If you breed two of the crosses together, 25% of the chicks will have the silkied feathers.
I love silkie crosses! I have a few as well. I have noticed their feathers are softer then regular feathers though.

Aww that's good to know though! It's not a big deal to me either way, just thought it'd be cool.

I think the crosses are quite unique looking. Here is a photo of one of my olive Egger/ Silkie Crosses. The olive Egger used in this cross was half ameraucana and half black copper Marans. Iris here is about 7 weeks old in this photo.

Pretty! One of my EE/cemani crosses has one speck of brown on it's cheek. It'll be interesting to see if it gets any more as it ages.
