Well I set "THE BLACK HATCH"
Which fits in with the Halloween theme of things.

And, well...since I LOVE black.

I "finally"

decided to set some eggs against my better judgment.

I set my very oldest eggs, the ones that had been sitting around since I last hatched.
(the chicks are 2ish weeks old?)

Self sabotage for sure. Or at least I'm counting on it...lol.
92 chicken eggs
40 quail eggs
11 guinea eggs
And if I had more racks, I could put another 20+ chicken eggs in there! Amazing! It's like an egg puzzle...

That's a lot of eggs for some one not certain if they wanted to hatch!

It will stand soon. Sitting on it's butt, is better than standing with it's legs out..far apart! It will just get stronger.

He started standing and walking around this morning.

I agree...next time will most likely be easier. It helps to view every difficulty as a learning experience.
As babies we can't jump up and run around...we've got to crawl first before we can walk.
(Thank goodness! What a terrible thought...can you imagine running babies??

)

Please don't be discouraged.

Even the most experienced hatchers hit the occasional bump in the road.

I have had a lot of learning experiences since starting in with farm animals. Too many sometimes. :-D I'm going to start giving my hens BOSS again. I was before, but just hadn't picked it up lately. I figure it doesn't hurt and they like it.
