Good luck!Tomorrow is lockdown for my 1 lavender egg and my 2 barnyard mix eggs!
Cute!
Good luck! We're locked down over here too.![]()
#16 didn't look great, but I put it in there anyway. I'll keep a close eye on it in case it's a stinker.
What an afternoon! I dusted birds for 3.5 hours straight.![]()
Got done all the roosters in the coop. And that's it. Never even got to the hens...lol.
Maybe I need less roosters...![]()
I also did their legs with red cote...see how that works. If nothing else they look very fancy.
I notice some roosters seem more prone to leg mites than others. Has anyone else noticed this?
In the more exciting news...
My final egg hatched last yesterday sometime in the afternoon.
When I checked last night, this little one was already out and dry.
I'm really excited that this one is opaline (I'm assuming since it's full brother hatched the same)![]()
I'm still tickled that I'm getting different colors from my pearl pair. I hope this one is a female.![]()
I put him in with the last chick that hatched. The chick has a foot issue and is a little slower while I'm correcting it.
And the keet is, well, it's a keet and it's just crazy...lol.
I'll be moving the week olds out soon.
On an interesting note...this is the first time I've had chicks in a low box. They're completely calm when I walk around because they can see me all the time.
I really like that.
Congratulations! I might have a few too many roosters too.
Yes, welcome! This is for the month of October, not just Halloween, right?
Good luck!My 1st batch of CCL's went into lockdown today with an expected hatch day on the 1st. I started out with 31 beautiful, true blue eggs that arrived in a very beat up box. 11 never developed (2 were cracked), 10 were blood rings by day 3, and 3 quit along the way. Out of 31 eggs, 7 made it to lockdownFingers and toes are crossed and prayers are being said because this is my keeper clutch!![]()
