Not necessarily. I have hatched them. They took their time. Be sure humidity is insanely high.

My guess is they are doing what I call the paddle walk.  Sitting on their bums and walking with feet out front?  They will get stronger and do well.   I can't tell from these photos..but thinking no splay legs?   If not, they will get stronger and be skippin around before you know it. 

No splayed legs. The yellow one is walking around. The black is still sitting on its bottom, flailing its legs and wings about. I tried to put it in a chick cup, but it was freaking out and I didn't want to stress it more.

Oh my goodness, seeing all the baby chicks is getting me so much more excited! Though, I don't know how well our eggs are doing. My Australorp pooped in the nest. I discovered it yesterday, so we took the opportunity to move her to a better location, but I am afraid the eggs may be ruined. I forgot my flashlight, so I tried using my phone to candle them, but it was not working well and I gave up. It is totally up to fate, so we will see what happens in the next 4 days. No issues with our Orpington, but still another 1.5 weeks for her.
