Halloween Hatch Along - Setting Oct. 10th

Oh, you are one SERIOUS incubator! LOL, got 2 days to get it up and running for the Halloween hatch

Looks like the same cooler I used, LOL. I ended up putting two fans in the lid and one on the side by the lightbulb. Probably overkill, but I ended up with extra fans because I thought they were broken or got shorted out after mistakenly attaching them to an AC power converter instead of a DC! :lau

Having cut them up, I couldn't return them, so I used them

Electricity and I will simply never get along! :barnie

Watts
Volts
Jewels
Amps
Alternating Current
Direct current
Series
Parallel

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? :lau

With reptiles it was different, too much air moving dried out shells and killed embryos. With birds more air flowing just keeps your temps more steady :D

EEEEK! How cute, MarineCorpFarmr! Congratulations! I just put my world egg day eggs on lockdown

I'm eagerly awaiting notification that my eggs for the Halloween hatch have shipped! They should go out today... but it's not like I'm going to die, if they don't go out today

Ugh! The new incubator I got was way off on the temp it was showing. It said it was holding steady fluctuating between 97-99 degrees when in fact it was much hotter (it has an electronic panel that shows the temp.) I have a thermometer that goes up to 108 and it was at the top. I just happened to be looking at the eggs and noticed that they seemed hotter than they should be and then I checked. I cracked a few open and they are not developing. I wish I had checked the temp. before but I just thought everything was as it should be. Sure is a lot of waisted eggs. So my duck eggs are a no go.
