yea i have already seen thoes pics 1000 times already because im so excited about getting your eggs. I was talking about getting new'er and better pictures of the silkie hen's and roos that my eggs will be comeing from.

Well, on day 10, all my eggs were 'ghosts' in my halloween hatch. I'm pretty bummed after having 100% this spring. I checked the eggs, and one or two had bloodspots, but no obvious signs of fertility. I'm thinking it's because my little japanese is too busy showing the other roos who's boss than breeding (too many roos). Or maybe he's been eating too much scratch that I throw them every morning. That and it was in the 40's to 50's and I was working so couldn't gather the eggs until many hours after they were laid. So, I ordered some chicks from Ideal which will be here by Halloween, and some eggs from UglyDuckly

Sorry to hear that. This time of year, we get molting, cold weather, and all sorts of fun. I started putting eggs in the refrigerator for the first time in a long time this week. I had promised a dozen to our neighbor across the street a couple of months ago. Between broodies and the incubator, we haven't had the eggs to spare.

Mine are going along well enough I have one that shows a very black spot and I think it's going to have to be thrown away. It's not an embryo. There are no veins supporting it or anything. Maybe something bacterial?

I have 2 dozen Silkie eggs from Hattrick's in the inc. I am very excited about- and they are due on Halloween!!!

Gosh I am sorry you had all clears, I hate it when that happens. A couple of hatches ago I had one whole group of a dozen shipped eggs do that. It's depressing. And you want to

I'm having trouble getting eggs from a pen with too many roos as well, I'm fixing that excess roo thing today.

Mine appear to be rolling. I only candled my Sizzles. Left the others alone and just hoping for 21 days. I'm afraid to handle the Serama eggs

and you can't see in the Marans eggs anyway

so I'm just going to pretend to be patient.

My silkies are getting older! And I love them. OMG they're such puppies. We've been SSOOOOO damp from all the rain I'm having an MG problem even changing the litter three times as often as before. Nothing is drying out ever. I had to bring one of the silkies in when I thought I heard him sneeze. I won't lose one, I won't.

He's such a doll, he's like "So, in the house huh? Cool! Hold me."

He's part of my continuing sizzle project and he's a lovely black from CJexotic's eggs.

Can't wait til the pullets in the group lay...

oohhh did i see sizzle project?? i should get a little male silkie to go with my frazzle....
if i put the 2 of them together that would give me 100% sizzle right?? hhmmm may have to look into this.......

What do you guys use to candle the colored eggs? I've got some CooPer Marans and some Ameracuana eggs and all I can see is the air space.
