Well due to the long lasting power outage last week I lost all but one. It's the little silkie that could. LOL I candled tonight just to see if It was worth continuing to incubate. that little one was kicking away. WOOHOO

I need to leave a note in the bator for the chick.

Dear little chick that could,

Please hatch on Saturday morning,

Thanks,

MOM

I vote for a more direct note:

This way OUT and in less than 24 hours or your mother goes nuts...

I candled a couple of my Sizzle eggs today, they're going properly... I upped the humidity yesterday, the shipped Blue Rock eggs looked to be too dry. Of course I can't tell what's going on in the marans as always.

I have had three batches of marans eggs, this is the third and they're soooo much darker than the first two batches... I am not even bothering to candle them. I'm a clutz. Better safe than sorry.

i know... i'm kinda starting to get scared.. they're all kicking away inside still.. getting harder to tell though... there's one htat doesn't seem to be dancing as much as the otehrs, i'm wondering if he's just gonna be the ellow chick, or if he's not gonna make it to the end??...

my 14 yr old decided he doesn't want to go trunk or treating and he will stay home and keep an eye/ear on tha bator... i'm really hoping nothing will happen.... or nothing major, untill i'm home... they can pip and start to zip while i'm away, but they are forbidden to leave their shells untill friday....

lol... hope everyone else is going okay...

we need to finish the name alphabet... who remembers where we were???

It was not a dark and stormy night. It was a bright, sunshiny afternoon with plenty of blue sky when I went to check the incubator. I never even suspected it could be HAUNTED!

As I leaned close to the glass, a thin fog covered the window. I leaned closer, listening. I couldn't be sure, but yes, there it was again. A very soft, rhythmic tapping, as if some one wanted to get in or...wanted to get out.
