i still wouldn't give up yet... if the membranes didn't pop there might be a chance for some of them... maybe a couple will pull through....

it is ssoo faint, yet ssoo clear... at first i wasn't sure it was from the bator.. i was watching for rocking and hoping i might see something... and then i hear a little squeaky noise...

I've had waxed broken eggs hatch, so here's hoping for you

I use the big white emergency 24 hour type candles. If it's been any time since the break at all I'll clean or disinfect the shell first, then apply the wax. If it's immediately after it happened I just wax and set the egg to rest.

Best of luck, that so sucks.

On topic: my hatch has really started and the first bugger is out early and pips are beginning to happen. I brought a few into the house, in to Darthbator to accompany the waxed on that should hatch this week and was alive yesterday so...

It's one of Halo's blue rock eggs. The first to hatch was a Splash Sizzle - yay, that's one of my own and they tend early, for some reason. Very determined hatchers too. Impatient little spuds.

I'm hoping the company helps Franken Egg hatch...

Woot - second hatchling went from pip to zip and hatch in about 2 hours. Blue Sizzle - go baby go.

Congratulations everyone! I heard peeps this morning too. I'm going to cross my fingers. Having 2 hatch early like I did scares me for the rest.

So, do you all have your brooders set up? I don't .. I'm going to go do that right now. What do you all use? I use a big rubbermaid plastic bin for the first week or two. I use paper towels for a week or two then switch to pine.

The 2 pips I see are Jersey Giants from Wynette.
