Halloween ~ Hatch Day!

I went to buy chick starter at the feed store and they only had medicated feed. I did not want that.. so she sold me gamebird crumbles.... is that ok to feed new babies? does anyone know?

It seems the west dictates our weather..in other words you have snow today, I'll have it tomorrow (or at least sleet/ice)

My main bator is the Hovabator Genesis and my hatcher is the Hovabator 1602.

I just put my eggs into the hatcher

) temp is at 100 and humidity is at 66%. Now it's time to wait...

Oh and all 9 of my original BO's are going in. I candled them this AM and all 9 still have veining and a good air pocket....though one of them has the airpocket on the top/side? I'll be sure to watch that one closely. I only saw a couple actually moving, but it's pretty dark in there so hopefully they just don't have room to move much.

And the waiting begins......

Yeah my home made one did that too....but...the LG is holding temps FAR Better and more steady than the styro bator...the thermostat responds much quicker...so I am hoping it is still at least an upgrade

we will see!

I don't want them chemicals.
I cannot understand why I would medicate them if they are not sick. I don't take antibiotics if I am not sick.

I think the gamebird crumbles are going to be ok.. I looked around online some and cannot see why they would not be fine to feed.

I finished my 18th day this am and would be beginning the 19th, so I put mine in the hatcher...hopefully that was correct?
