Congrats to everyone on their new babies. Boy, they've been hatching so fast, I can barely keep up with who has hatched what...LOL!

And to all those still waiting...

I'm up to 21 babies!! I do have one w/ a problem though:

One of my new chicks that hatched overnight last night was laying on its back this morning. I picked it up as soos as I saw it, but every time I try to put it down it just starts kicking with its right leg out to the side and flips itself back onto its back. Any help? Please! I don't know what to do with her b/c I can't put her down or she just flips over. Of course it's 1 of the BC Marans chicks too.

I had a silkie like that two hatches ago and unfortunately I had to put it down. But since your talking about a BC Marans chicks.... I dont know..... its your own personal decision.

I second the congrats to all. I am using a still air LG with a water wiggler in it. I was wondering if anyone else uses this setup and what temps you keep it at on day 1-18, and then the final 3. I have been keeping mine at 99.5 but I had the same trouble as Silkieluver_07. I think my temps are running a little low. Can anyone confirm. I just leave the baby in the bator an extra day until it heals.

Happy Holloween

If your babies are hatching early that would indicate your temps are high (or there's another reason). If your temps were too low it would delay the hatch.
