Halloween ~ Hatch Day!

My last 2 BC Marans are trying to hatch!! Looks like all 5 that were left might just make it!

I have one grand-chick out and 2 more pipped also! If all those hatch I'll have 25 babies! What am I going to do with them all!?!?

Usually the ones that flip do not make it, but the one I held turned out just fine.

She seems to be doing it less and less so hopefully she's working it out. I held her for a long time, so maybe that helped set her equilibrium straight.

Mine are due tomorrow and so far, no pips.

I know it is normal, but it is putting me over the edge, especially with everyone else's chicks hatching left and right!!

Well, I didn't have to help out! And thanks for all the wonderful info. I will definately check the sticky post.

After I checked about 3:00 a.m. nothing....then I woke up to loud peeping around 7:00 a.m. & ran in to check & it was a Silkie! Then this a.m. while out doing chores another made it's entrance!

They are so cute & getting fluffy!

I have another early OE bantie pipping & 3 more silkie pips. The one I marked as possibly dead has done nothing.

I am waiting to move the little silkies to the brooder, they are chirping so much it is encouraging the other ones to hatch!

I got pics, but haven't downloaded them yet.

I have a pip! Just one out of the 8 eggs I think are viable, but hey, it's only day 20, right? I can't wait to see what's in my bator when I get off work tonight!

I am now up to 3 pips, none hatched yet.

My humidity dropped too so I had to add some water.
