Halloween ~ Hatch Day!

Ooooohhhhhh...my Mama's heart just turned into a puddle!

They're precious, the most forward of them run up when I come over and jump on my hand to see what I have. If I get lucky and actually HATCH these eggs, their are going to be LOTS. And they'll only be 10 days or so apart.

Puddle is one's name. She's part duck, can't keep her out of or away from the water dish. Silly critter.

One has obtained an indian name: Runs Like Nutcase. R.L.Nutcase is usually first to reach my hand. He then of course runs off flapping, like a tacking sailboat or a drunk who's 3 sheets to the wind.

Ok, no pics. Honestly, I don't really know what I am looking at.....

The few that didn't look quite right, still don't look right. 2 that look like water in them...should I throw those away? The one that looked like a speck of blood, looks more veiny guess.

A couple looked like there could be chicks in there

but the rest that had the veins, I can't tell. They are still rather veiny. It has been 1 week since I set them in the bator.

Should I try candling again at 10 days?

I wouldn't throw ANY away!! Not just yet unless its a stinky one!

Did you see the pics I posted on my blog? that is what mine look like... (click on website by my name) Maybe that will help? If you see ANY veining I would count that one in at this point!

1 I thought was a blood ring now looks like a chick!!! So keep crossing those fingers!

Just candled my 23 welsummer eggs. 19 growing 2 clear and 2 not sure will candle again on day 10. Hopefully gonna get me a bunch of babies keeping fingers crossed. Setting 18 Wheaton marans and 5 black coppers tomorrow so stagger time again. Cant wait for halloween this year.
