I HAVE PIPS!!!

My bator finally warmed back up after getting down to 70 last night while the power was out and now I have 3 pips! I guess they decided to get out while it's warm!

Went home at lunch. Aaaawwww that chickie is so cute!! I didn't have time to take pics. I'll try that tonight.

I have another one that has zipped halfway and is going strong. But, still no change with the first one to pip. It is peeping and moving though, so I'm not going to worry...YET.

I can't believe y'all have pips already. I'm on day 19 here. I hope I don't have my humidity up too much. It is 79% humidity now, is that too much, should I lower it? Oh, gosh, this is stressful. I hope my chickies are going to be okay.

You had your humidity pretty low on days 1-18 right? Humidity might be a little high, but should be okay. I know mine has been fluctuating as the chicks are hatching.

If it were me I would vent a little to lower the humidity a bit

I *think* I have one that attempted to pip but if it did it is on the wrong end and not rocking...I HOPE it didn't pip and it is a bad strange shadow...it is kind of facing away from me.

So no rocking no moving no pips or zips here (assuming that one isn't)

Days 1-18 I tried to keep it close to 50%, I am going to take the sponge out. I'm so confused about the humidity, everyone says something different. I thought it was supposed to be 70-80%humidity last 3 days. What should it be, please help, I am in a panic now.

I've heard 65-75%. Anywhere in that range should be fine. Mine likes to go up to 80% when the chicks start hatching and drying off, but it doesn't seem to cause problems for the others. Try not to worry too much!
