BTW - 4 of the penedesencas were scrambled and 7 other don't look very good, what I can tell. Looks like I have 4 good ones. But, my humidity dropped to 14 overnight!!!!!!
OMG!!! I checked at 5:00 this am and it was fine. By 9:00, it had dropped. No clue why!!! I guess those eggs will be ruined for sure. un

I have some two week old chicks and some that are hatching today. Would the new ones be okay in the same brooder as the older chicks?

Oh & I do have a tiny pip in the Silkie egg & I heard a very faint peep! That is good news!

I still think that maybe 2 are dead but I am going to let them go for now hoping! They are the ones that had the weird shaped air sack. So maybe I will get lucky & have 4.....I started with 14 Silkies.

Just got an update from dh...3 chicks and another ready to hatch and 5 or so pips.

Twelve of my eggs are Ameraucunas. And four of them are Ameraucana Frizzles....I bought them on ebay. I'm praying that at least ONE of the frizzles hatch. I do have a pip on one of them. **fingers crossed**

These chickens are amazing and have quickly become one of our favorite chickens in the barnyard.. I have raised chickens for over 8 years now, and have loved the ameraucnana breed for their blue/green eggs and they have great personalities.. we started this breed with our first Ameraucana hen named "Blue Belle", she was a very sweet chicken and loved attention.. I love the blue color in chickens, so we decided to try to get blue frizzled Ameraucanas so they would be fluffy , blue and hopefully still lay the blue/green eggs...And we did it! The first pictures are of the babies we've hatched this year and the last picture is of their father. In our hacthes this year we've gotten mostly frizzled Ameraucanas in blue ( light & dark) and splash all with the nice puffy cheeks!... And of the ones that have started laying, they ARE laying the blue/green eggs, so we are very pleased and want you to be able to enjoy these beautiful chickens as well.​

Oh Man, sorry to here about the little Roo...That always takes my heart away.

I am always bummed when any of my birds die, but especially my Serama's. All goes well, and bang...one more gone. I don't know why I even try to hatch them.

Anyway, I want in. I bought a dozen Araucana Eggs from someone in the Club. She sent extras, so I stand a chance. I have them under a team of hens. I have two Broady Serama Hens.
The sit together in the nesting Box, but they steal eggs from each other. Kinda cute. They had several Giant Cochin Hatch, which I took from them and One Serama. Left the Serama with them and all is well. This clutch is due to hatch either 31st or 1st. In any case, I will be thrilled to even hatch one chick. So much can go wrong with a little egg who travels miles in the mail.

I need to post pics.

Oh, I do not have electricity yet. Although, I did purchase a Bator
10200, and waiting on an egg turner. Our local feed barn may rent me a shed for hatching, with electric.
