Halloween/Thanksgiving Hatch-a-Long 2019

The 150 would be the best IMO.

Yeah I know but it’s also like $100 more and I’m going to be moving them to the pond in a few months anyway. But if the other ones really won’t work I can try to get the bigger one. I might just get a smaller one for now and then buy the 300 gallon one in the spring for the actual pond? I gotta measure to see how big the pond I have is.

Anything over 100 gallons would probably work okay.

So do you think the 110 gallon one would work? I mean, I could probably get the bigger one, I’ve bought a lot of other useless stuff over the years that probably adds up to way more than that  but I’m trying to start being smart with my money :lau

Plus I’ve bought a ton of other stuff lately.

Like the incubator in March, hatching eggs last week, a bunch of new thermometers and hygrometers, pond filter, etc. so I’m trying not to spend a ton on their new digs but can’t seem to find the 150 gallon one for cheaper anywhere.

But this is important and I have the money if really necessary but honestly I think I might buy the smaller one for now and buy the 300 gallon in spring cause I’m measuring the pond right now and it’s really not very big.

What are the dimensions of the 110 gallon?

Only a few inches smaller than the 150 gallon.

The 110 looks good, it would definitely be big enough to keep the fish in, until you can get them in a pond.

Thanks! That’s good to know! Maybe I’ll go see if they have that one in stock. I could get that one now if they do.

Also I think I may buy the 300 eventually cause my pond is apparently not as big as I thought.

Yeah, that pond doesn't look too big. I'd be worried about predators getting the fish. Also, what will you do in the winter?

Yeah I think it’s only like 180 or something? Or 150? I’m not really sure exactly. It’s like just under 5x3 but those are the widest parts and I think only 20 inches deep at the deepest. I think the funky shape makes it hold less water? So really not that big and I think the 300 would be a much better idea haha although it is free so idk. Maybe I could use both and/or make two ponds and put smaller fish in this one haha

And I was gonna put a net or something over it so they couldn’t get to them.

And originally I was thinking of leaving them in it over the winter but I think it needs to be much deeper for that??

So I’d need to either dig a pond or buy a deeper one.

I might bring them inside in winter. If I get the 110 one then I’d have an inside tank.

Although maybe I should just get the 150 after all so the bigger fish could fit. Idk.

@muddy75 I was about to ask where it was cause I couldn’t find it, only one much more expensive 50 gallon one, but I just found it! And WOW!! Even the 300 gallon one is only $85!! Maybe I should just get the bigger one for only a $30 difference. No way I’ll ever be able to find one for that price. Then I could use it for the outside pond too since it’d be bigger than the liner I have and you say rubber is better anyway? Idk. Thoughts on both of them? @CarpCharacin ??

yes 85 is great for the 300....just make sure they don’t kill you in shipping cost (i pd 200 at RK for my 300 gal)
