Halloween/Thanksgiving Hatch-a-Long 2019

I would think so some genes might not play as well with eachother but i couldnt say which

I know where my red sex links come from because they are created at a local farm by me so I will continue to keep those in my flock as long as I have my black jersey giant roosters.

I plan on adding different breeds in the spring to mix them with just to see what happens.

@Willowspirit AH I love them! I'm not doing any winter hatches but I just moved some of their siblings into our loft area over our goats as they outgrew their A frame Kudos for hatching that black polish baby! those eggs are the most finicky of my flock I could hatch 1 out of 30 or 25 out of 30 I swear

On day 9 of my hatch. Took a little loner to set them in the Baylor when received trying to make sure bator temps ok. Good luck with everyone’s hatch!
Day 9 and power out for a couple of hours. I hope everything will be ok. It was in floor of closet with towel over it. Any thoughts?

Still have 12 eggs in the bator and my air cells look perfect this time! The local farm eggs are freaking me out a bit because the chicks barely have room in the egg! The eggs were quite small and I know that the chicks will be half Brahma.

My power was out for 6 hours on day 5 of one of my batches. After that the generator is set up ready to run, I've had to plug in the bator to it several times during/after storms.

should be fine....i had several outages during early hatches with no major impact on hatch rates.

Thank you! I sure hope so. I'll have to keep everyone updated. Incubator temp was reading low still this morning (98) so I increased a bit before leaving for work. Humudity was ok though.

2nd candling (day 7) of the buttons....I ordered 12, received 20. removed 1 non-fertile and have 3 or so “maybes” that have wonky air cells or too dark to really see. But I have several “swimming aliens” or “wigglers”
