Halloween/Thanksgiving Hatch-a-Long 2019

Something ive read on the site glad to pass it along! I think i remember it is when their circulatory system, heart and brain and forming?

You might also appreciate the information that turning is most important day 4-14. As well as helping the circulatory system grow evenly it helps make the chick exercise. Weak chicks are one outcome of an unturned or under turned egg.
This one I learned the hard way. Our turner went south on us on a hatch, last year, at pretty much this phase. The motor still ran, but we didn't realize that the gears weren't moving until it was too late. By the time we identified the problem, it was too late. We let a few "iffy" developers continue for a bit, but it wasn't any good. We lost the whole clutch. What a heartbreaker!

That’s awesome!! I’ve been thinking about getting a barn cat or else a vermin hunting dog lol we have a serious rat and chipmunk problem!! :barnie:sick
Check your local shelter and/or cat rescue. Ours offers barn cats for a minimal donation. They're spayed, neutered, vaccinated and FL/FIV tested and microchipped. Many of them are even seriously people-friendly. They love attention, they just can't stand to stay indoors.

Putting this in a spoiler because I talk too much as usual. :lau

I'm 32, but I've always been an old soul. My best friend is my dad. I would blow off friends to work on cars with him. He tells me that I'm the son he's never had :lau I have 2 brothers, but they were never really into working on cars or anything. My love for muscle cars is what got me my husband. Now I roped him into my crazy animal world! He's fluent in duck :gigHe quacks at them and they talk back, it's the funniest thing ever.

:lau I think I am too!! Most of my friends these days are older than me and I’m not really into most of the stuff “kids these days” are into :p :lau

But wow that is awesome!! Haha I’ve never really been into cars or mechanical stuff but I have two brothers and am the only girl so I’m a bit of a tom boy myself. :lau

My older brother is pretty into that stuff and is always working with my dad on the boats, cars, boat engines, etc. not as much now but still helps out sometimes. Younger brother really doesn’t care lol he used to help sometimes like getting the boats ready to go in, waxing the sailboat before we sold it, painting the bottom of the boats, etc. but was never super interested. He does love taking the boats out though! Just not working on them. :lau

And OMG that’s hilarious!! I sometimes meow to Luna

I have a dog named Jolene who shows her teeth on command and looks like a shark... I sing the song to her... Baby Jo Doo Doo Doo and she shows me her teeth, it's the funniest thing ever.

OMG that is hilarious!!! :lau

Gator used to snap his teeth in the air and also do death rolls like gators hence the name. :lau

He would just lay there snapping as a puppy LOL

And still did it even as an adult.

I should say it wasn’t like a vicious or aggressive snap at all.

More just when he wanted to play or felt like being sassy. :lau

He was very sassy and loved talking back and sassing when told no or told he couldn’t go somewhere with us or couldn’t do something. :lau

He would scoot backwards while snapping and shaking his head and generally throwing a tantrum. :lau

I had a furby when I was a kid and it never shut up. I put it in the closet and it talked for months, I swear it was possessed. I bought my kids some 5 years ago and they creeped them out. I was glad that I wasn't the only one who thought they were little possessed monsters.

Duuuuuuuuuudeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Have you ever read some of the stories on those things!? There’s whole forums dedicated to the horrors of furbys! Lots of people think they’re possessed. Even people who have dunked them in a pool or put them in a dumpster and they come out or don’t shut up!

So I candled a few eggs and saw nothing yet, but I do have an egg that seems to have twins. I know that one won't survive if the egg is indeed fertile. I didn't know that it had two yolks in it now I feel bad.

Some people have hatched twins!! It’s possible but maybe not likely.

Good idea! Thanks! I thought about doing that but I think they need about 2 weeks of indoor acclimation before being let out?? I may just set some traps for now.

My kids are obsessed. I want to pull my hair out. They have the singing stuffed sharks as well. :he
How old are the youngest? The song is supposed to be for preschoolers, so I won’t get the puppets. That and because I sing the song enough, thank you. :he
When Pigs Fly? Sorry, if I confused ... I'm very good at that!... confusing people ... including myself!
No, you’re not confused.

:lau mine never ran out of batteries even if the batteries were dead. They're creepy. My dog hated the thing too because it would randomly talk at midnight and make the weirdest noises

That is horrifying!!! Some of the stories on that list are downright scary too!! That first one! :th I would have been screaming and crying and clinging to my Bible :lau  or hired an exorcist lmao thankfully fire seemed to work on it though!
