I wasn't even supposed to buy the incubator! I saw it on Amazon for $40 off and I snatched the last one. I wasn't going to find a better deal anywhere else.

I put eggs on the counter and my husband told me to put them in the fridge because I have no room in the incubator. I told him they were in case some didn't do anything... He rolled his eyes

:lau :gig :lau

I probably will too!! And just “animals anonymous” in general. :lau

I’m gonna have a whole zoo eventually :lau

:lau Kiki!
My father calls my place "The Halfway House," because he says that no many how many legs a critter has (or doesn't have,) we are halfway between wherever it's coming from and wherever it's going to ... and it stops by. Sometimes the stopover is a few hours or days, sometimes the rest of it's life (and sometimes it's both,) but everything and everybody stops, because they know we'll feed it or heal it or just generally take care of it. Pop keeps looking for the "Hobo Sign." You know, the one that tells all the other "strays" that handouts are available, here ...

Beagles are trouble :gigMine ate tons of chicken feed yesterday and left a pile bigger than a cow in the yard :sick
Once upon a time... my husband wanted another dog. I didn’t! I think everyone knows that SPCA requires you to fill out paperwork, then return in two or three days to pick up the animal. This dog had been forgotten twice! When we walked into the room, he picked up a toy, and ran to the edge of his cage with his stubby little tail wagging furiously. He was terrified of everything and everyone in the world but us. The dog chose me as his master (it was an obvious choice), and I do believe it was fate we got him. He soon began snuggling into my jacket, and sleeping on the Harley, and he was the chick momma.
He had to be euthanized last year. I wasn’t getting another dog. 7 weeks later (October 21st), the hunters/breeders/trainers next door handed over an AKC beagle that wouldn’t hunt. Apparently I needed a dog after all.

Yeah ... that's kinda where I'd be. I think I'll stick to my banty chickens, for now...

I made a kill cone out of a gallon water jug, I like it better than the metal ones.

I'm not sure if a quail would work in a kill cone... Maybe I'll try it some day. If it gets loose it'll be free food for the neighbor's dog because no way will I be able to catch it once it hits the ground.

Aw :(

I’m down to twenty animals.
Beagle, 4 hermit crabs, three chickens and a dozen quail.

It’s funny cause it doesn’t sound like that many animals, dog, couple chickens, indoor/caged/tanked pet, pretty average these days, and most are likely housed together so I sometimes count them as one lot but then when you actually add them up it is a lot...

I just did this with mine and I have 16 animals! :th

It sure would have to be small ... maybe an ice cream cone?
ICK!!

:lau

I don't know how that picture ended up there! But that's my cat who thinks he's a dog. He was a feral kitten and I'm the only person he ever liked at the vet's office he was living in so they told me to take him home for free for Christmas.

Well I’m glad it did because they are adorable!!

And awww that’s such a great story!! :love

Pretty Babies!

X2!!!

Cats choose us, not the other way around! :love

I agree!!

I think a toilet paper tube with tape covering part of one end would work.

:lau probably! But then Kiki would still have to feel it/hold it.

So you have a beagle just like mine! Lucy hates guns and hides when she hears them. She can hunt a sock though. If you drop it anywhere in the house she will find it. She hunts mice too, but drops them once they don't squeak anymore like it's a broken toy. We have all her paperwork, $1200 these people paid for this dog with training and all then they give her away for free when she's 3... I don't get it
