Halloween/Thanksgiving Hatch-a-Long 2019

I did the same thing and the website wasn't updated since yesterday. Said they would be here tomorrow as well. I have done chat's with Meyers because I can't talk on the phone. I am sure I am driving them crazy! They can definitely tell new hatchers.

Well I am so excited to start the hatching. Can't wait until they come in.

I sounded just like you when I did my first hatch, I make it sound like it was so long ago but it wasn't I don't think I'll ever stop hatching now!

Soon I'll want a different incubator

Now I have to find a way to tell the hubby what I am doing. He is going to kill me but if I use the grand kids as an excuse I think I'll be ok.

I'm sure they'll be there tomorrow, I wouldn't worry. I can't really say I wouldn't be worried though if it was me I'm glad I can walk outside and get my fertile eggs.

I’m mostly just worried they’re gonna be in a truck all day! I hope they get the hold for pickup memo/follow it LOL

And I wish!!! Maybe I will have to keep a cockerel from this hatch!

Honestly, that is why i didn't order too many eggs. What would I do if they were all cockerels!

Maybe he won’t notice there’s eggs in the incubator and you could just tell him after they hatch! That way he can’t resist the cute babies

And I have full conversations with my chickens. And the cat. And the dog when we had one. I even talk to the fish.

I honestly think it's the best thing to have a cockerel and do your own fertilized eggs. Then you don't have to rely on the mail or pray your eggs make it safe. It's probably not doable for most though

I bought my incubator and put the eggs in it then told my husband he always has wanted meat chickens so I basically said... Surprise, here's your meat chickensBut I told him that I get to keep a few and he agreed.

Very true!! I want to do that. Plus I think it’d be fun knowing they came from my birds. I have some great birds I’d like to breed and pass their genes on LOL but some of my birds are really old and also I don’t want to bother the neighbors with a rooster lol or be woken up ourselves by one guess it depends how much noise he makes. Maybe I’ll get a quiet one.
