My eggs got here today!!!

Post office just called about 45 minutes ago but haven’t had a chance to pick them up yet and won’t for probably at least another half hour or hour

But then I’m gonna rest them and set them maybe tomorrow.

Better late than never!! Lol I haven’t picked them up yet.

And I think if you click on “watched threads”’ it should be there. I never get notifications for new replies unless they quote or tag me

I would've been down there by now im really thinking about ordering an assortment in the spring so I can put new ladies with my roosters. Squatch has a thing for my girl Dolly who's a RSL. She's a sweetheart and my favorite of all my chickens.

I'll have to process the Cockerels though so hopefully they aren't tiny breeds. I can feed mini chickens to my 5 lb dog though

I would've been down there by now im really thinking about ordering an assortment in the spring so I can put new ladies with my roosters. Squatch has a thing for my girl Dolly who's a RSL. She's a sweetheart and my favorite of all my chickens.

Lol I sat at home like 40 mins after getting back from the vet . I procrastinate

They kept calling them “poultry” so I really thought they thought they were alive lol

But upon meeting her, I think the poor woman just has NO idea what hatching is lol

She was really nice but kept asking me if they were hatched yet

I kept being like no, they’re eggs, I’m gonna hatch them myself, I have an incubator at home, I have adult chickens at home but these are eggs, thought I’d try hatching myself, etc. but I think she just had no clue what I was talking about

She was like “so you don’t think any are hatched yet?”

I’m like “nah”

And she’s like yeah I didn’t hear anything peeping

I swear she musta asked like 3 times if any were hatched yet. She’s like so you’re sure none are hatched yet?

Finally I’m like “yeah it takes 21 days” and then she’s just like “oh”



I would have explained how they have to heated up/incubated first and the whole process but she seemed busy and I got the subtle hint she had to get back to work lol

But she was super nice and seemed interested but the poor lady just had no clue

I'm getting the assorted quail from Myshire too. I don't think I can just do one type, I want them allMy husband is collecting materials as we speak for the quail cages and my duck coop.

My ducks need to be kicked out of the chicken coop because the chickens don't want them in there! They destroy everything!

It's funny how people think that if eggs just sit around that they grow chicks! They don't get it takes a while
