Do you have a rooster now?

I'm jelly you can keep every girl. I am only keeping 2 or 3. I know that down the road I will like another one that I have so I want to make sure I have enough room. I have room for 16 chickens, right now I have 9. I have 4 ducks too, but they're getting kicked out into their own coop.

No I don’t. We didn’t wanna bother the neighbors and also didn’t wanna be woken up in the morning

But we have the space so I might or I might not. Idk. Depends what breed the rooster is LOL

And well I really probably shouldn’t and considered just selling them all but I know I’m going to get attached to the first babies I hatched so I’m probably keeping all that I can haha

I have to build a new coop anyways cause mine is technically only big enough for 8 and I have 11 in it. but they’re all happy and the run is big so I’m leaving them be but it won’t fit any more. Plus I don’t want to mix vaccinated and unvaccinated haha

So I’m gonna build a new coop on the other side of the property.

We have about 2.5 acres so plenty of room for lots of animals!!

I’ve been good and contained myself for 4 years. The limit was strictly 8 but my dad’s super attached now so didn’t mind when I ordered 5 more in April

And this year I’ve gone a little crazy with expanding the flock/doing crazy stuff!!!

Added the 5 in April and now these hatching eggs.

The eggs I didn’t even tell anyone about until after I ordered them lol

They were fine with it!! Haha actually, my mom blabbed to my dad!! I wasn’t gonna tell him or at least was going to later and she I guess couldn’t contain herself! she said he’s excited lol but he hasn’t really said anything to me. But she definitely is!! Haha

And oh wow that is awesome!!

One time my mom and I brought back a cat and didn’t even tell my dad lol we went to the pet store, I saw her, she said maybe which usually meant no, but to my surprise we actually went back the next day and got her!! My dad was out of town and I don’t think my brothers knew either. Everyone just got back one day and we’re like “surprise! We have a cat!” she’s been a great cat

Holding around 99.5-99.8F and between 55-60% humidity. 1 is fully hatched already! There’s about 7 others pipped (started with 13)!

I am soooo nervous, it’s going to be a long night! Lol
