Reminds me of a cosplay I saw at a my local Comicon this past January... A little boy had made himself a Bumblebee costume with a truly awesome twist. Have a look!

He won the masquerade event for his division with it, too. Fella was one of the more popular guys at the convention center.

As for me... I'm a self-taught costumer and cosplayer. Been making my own costumes since I was old enough to handle scissors, spray paint and hot glue, and got a good, reliable sewing machine about three years ago. I'm still going back and forth with myself over who or what I'm going to be... If I get my wig in time, I plan to finish my Professor Stein (from the anime Soul Eater; this crazy guy. There are actually quite a few otaku at my university, and the anime club always hosts a Halloween party anyhow) cosplay. None of my other costumes would work, since they're all badly in need of repair or retired... Well. I have a fallback, at least. Dressing up as a stick person is always fun, especially because dressing in full blackout is nice and warm, and there are no street lights out where I live so the glow shows up really well on cold, clear mountain nights.

...Hey, I might be 20, but it's my belief that one is never too old to dress up and wander the streets with friends, begging candy from strangers. XD

I just started buying candy, which we got into a bit last night. If weather or illness prevents door to door events we just fill a huge bowl with candy and watch scary movies. Looking forward to the new zombie series on AMC I think called the walking dead.

We don't really decorate, but I do enjoy seeing stuff. We have Skelly the skeleton on the door, but that is it. I saw on the news someone had a front yard decoration with a dead baby daycare scene. It was pretty um gross and not something I would smile about driving past.

we love halloween but done decorate as we live n the middle of nowhere andno one would see our decorations:-( we are going as Dog thebounty hunter and his wife Beth--hehe

My Grandson's birthday party is this Saturday and is Halloween themed. I let him invite his class thinking only a few would show up. Glad I put an RSVP number on it because we're getting far too many kids. He'll love it, of course. Since they're only 4 and 5 each one will also come with an adult. My little house can't take it so we were going to do most things outside. So, NATURALLY, it's supposed to rain. Dang. We're going to put up the pavillion that's usually used at the Renaissance fairs. At least we'll all stay dry.

Instead of a cake I'm making monster cupcakes. Baking Friday morning, decorating Friday evening. Also on the menu: mummy hotdogs, jack-o-lantern ham & cheese (bread cut with a cookie cutter), ghost egg salad sandwiches (bread cut with a cook cutter), a pasta dish made with different colored pasta in Halloween shapes, jello with gummy bugs in it. Oh, and the punch has ice that looks like hands (just water in rubber gloves and frozen). I've got an awful lot to do the next 2 days. I should be starting now instead of just sitting here.

I adore the Atumnal Equinox and All Hallow's Eve, and everything to do with the season. Especially around here, as it's the best temperatures for me (having been uprooted from the Central California Coastline).

I carried two doggie Halloween costumes in my cart all the way up to the checkstand at Target last week..... I have miniature dachshunds, although one is a bit large for "mini" status. The full hot dog with bun costume was going to be for Zorro, the elderly pig.. errr.. dog. Dooley was slated to wear the BumbleBee costume, complete with little headgear holding the bee antennae.

But reason prevailed and I didn't buy them.

Just having them in the cart for the whole shopping trip made me smile, though.
