Having a net on the top of your run is protection form predators also.
X2. I think framing runs and covering them with 1" chicken wire or something similar is best no matter what. So long as wild birds pilfering feed and potentially spreading disease, hawks, and other predators can't get in. The more secure, the better.

Do all Hamburgs have such BIG eyes? I think that coupled with the fact that he is so friendly has really endeared him to me. He is 9 weeks here but turned 10 weeks today.

 
Hi all, does anyone have a picture of a Hamburg alongside a medium sized hen (eg RIR)? I'm interested in Hamburgs but want to know if there is a size difference.
 
I took this photo over the weekend at the Seaside Feathers Poultry show. He is Large Fowl and you can see the size difference from the hen/pullet behind him.
I thought of the earlier post so, it might help answer the question.
