Yes, no problem with that. (Of course I say that, and I can't actually remember if Hamburgs are recognized by the APA... I can never remember such things)
He looks like he might be part hamburg, but his body type is telling me that he looks like a mixed breed. He's much more big-boned than most Hamburgs I've seen, and his comb doesn't have that 'spike' at the end that I'm used to seeing. Plus, his earlobes are mostly red. His tail also looks to be held more vertically.
This, for example, is a more ideal Hamburg:
He definitely looks Hamburg, but there's just something... off about him. He reminds me more of a game bird, in his face and the way he holds himself. I've owned a golden spangled rooster before, so I'm speaking from experience.
Regardless, I wish you the best of luck entering the fair!
Ah, thanks! You see, I know nothing about him except his age and that he is a boy. He is actually the neighbors chicken, but we found him at 2 weeks old stuck under our barn, and he imprinted on me.
His face is kind of weird, it will change color. When he istired, it is really pale and then his earlobes are white, but most of the time his face is bright red (same with the earlobes.)
