Hands on hatching and help

I'll get him first thing in the morning and put him in a brooder. Hopefully he'll be okay until then. It's 3:00am here so I don't want to go out there tonight. I have Nutridrench, but I am not sure how much to give to such a small duckling. Is there a certain kind of antibiotic I should give him and where can I get it? I'll try to get pics of his belly. Oh man, I really wish I had asked what to do sooner. I hope he makes it.

A couple drops of Nutridrench straight on the tongue, then a couple drops plain water to wash it down...

Amoxicillin is a good start, check out Fish Mox in fish meds...

When can I sex them? If their girls I wanna keep but I already have a cockerel!

Took about 4 weeks for me to be sure one of mine was male, the other kept me guessing till about 7 weeks until i was confident she was a pullet. I only have 2 but hope to get more.

I'm going to hatch eggs soon so I have a couple of questions.
Is it bad to mist the eggs with water before putting them in the incubator?o
Also, When The Chick Starts Trying To Crack The Egg Open, How Long Till It Hatches?

Thanks!

No hasn't done any of that only a few hours old. I've got some chick vitamins I've put in the water do you think I should syringe a couple drops into its mouth?

Just dip its beak in the water. just a couple hours old, give it till morning before being too concerned. Breaking out of that tiny jail is hard work, momma!

Misting of eggs is usually only for duck eggs, and usually only from day 5ish to day 24. Once a pip happens (break the shell), it can be up to 24 hours for chicks, 48 hours for ducks, in general. Chicks normally hatch around 12-18 hours after pip.
