I need help like right now though! I have two chics alive in day 3 of lock down one pipped yesterday and now it looks like one is trying to zip but going down to bottom egg. What do you think about if I take a dead chic out of lockdown and practice on that?I would be careful with the assisting . if you for sure know the hatch date and you are past it. I would try it on one egg. Some chicks are slower then others some ,bator run a little warmer or cooler.
If you open a egg and the yolk is still being absorbed,this is sure death in my experience .
I had a turkey pip 4 days ago and was not due till tomorrow. I took it and put it in my hatcher thinking it was going to be early. bad mistake my hatchers humidity was running high and I figured it couldn't hurt.
Wrong I found him dead yesterday.His yolk was still being absorbed and might not of hatched for a couple more days.
Caution in every phase of hatching should be taken since the life of the animal you have mothered is in your hands.

And there's already a thread:You've posted your message. You'll have to wait until someone responds. Posting more messages won't help. I would help, but I don't know anything about assisting twin eggs. I only set single yolk eggs.
