Lol.. I did move one big egg in when I took this pic. . But think it's a quitter..
Thanks :) there's polish, Silkies and Norwegian Jaerhon/Banty crosses

I wish I knew what was up with polish,,,it's gonna sound insane(trust me I know) LOVE to be proven wrong here but I bought two groups from a swap told I was way over charged,,about a week apart in age(awhile ago) once I finally got there poops solid,(still quarantining) put one group of youngest in brooder&older group,in a separate brooder they are an INIGMA! One cried
&whinned for a week...started having to force it to drink, then eat too. Even stayed up a whole night with it,soon as I picked it up it would stand&be fine soon as I walked away it would flip back..NEVER experienced something like it. It finally stopped breathing on its own. Then two in a separate area died together(calling them romeo&juliet) the same night. I'm baffeled. Another group I got at same time is totally Healthy&thriving,,,,what the hay!? So a week later I separated another from the oldest group tonight...all I did was switch feed the first three all ate the feed&died within hours......has this ever happened to any of you guys?

anyhow bunch of my own chicken eggs in lockdown now..I'd be happy to take fith place if these chicken polish just get themselves together.
Heading to bed..gonna be a long week.
Good luck hatchers!

Was there a parasite or other bacterial site in feed. Sometimes that happens. They try and recall but sometimes it's to late.

Adorable! Oh she reminds me of my (not so little now 3 years later) girl that I rescued three years ago. She was about 1 week when I took her and we bottle fed her. A neighbor found her under her deck along with two dead siblings. She did a sweep of the property and found a stray adult cat mangled so she assumed the neighbor's rather vicious dog got the mamma and killed her. She didn't even have her eyes open yet. This is her: Yay!! :(
Aaawwwww!!!! I am currently bottle feeding a kitten. She was found in a box after crying to 2 days in my friends husband warehouse. So I brought her in and her eyes had just open a couple of days before. She is a feisty little one but she is also a chow hound! :lau it'd hard work had rearing a kitten.
Today is day 26 (hatch day) for my call eggs and they all look dead! They were all alive up until day 24/25 and then this morning no draw down, no movement. So sad what shipping does to eggs!! I keep going over everything that I could have done differently but I come up with nothing. :hit
Are you sure!!?? I thought a couple of my silkies were dead until they hatched. I left them in there in just in case. :hugs. Keep me informed.
I do have some good news...I locked down my batch of my own eggs tonight and (this is a first) every single egg I set made it to lockdown!! All 29 eggs looking good. Some air cells were bigger then others but I think that some are just starting to draw down. Also I set a torpedo-ish shaped egg, I'm not sure why because I know you're not supposed to set those but it slipped in and looks the furthest advanced. Probably be a first pipper...will be interesting to see it get out of that shell. Hatch is set for Friday but I definitely think I will have action sooner. And just be prepared to hear me wine about lockdown humidity in my 20. :fl

Aww, thanks! That's why I pack that way because I've had a lot of busts with shipped and I know how disappointing it can be. It makes me very happy that yours are doing good. I will just try call eggs again and again if I have to, until I get a good hatch! Me too!! Good luck!! :jumpy
Good luck on your hatch! I can't wait for pictures.

Polish are hard. Promise it's not just you.. (won't ask what you were charged, but as a reference, I charge 7$ for my WCB bantam, and 15-25$ for Tolbunt..will charge the 7$ for my BBS when I start those as well)..

But..polish are prone to head injuries, bc of the vaulted skull.. I also always moisten their feed so that it's easier for them to eat.
My biggest issue is hatching them, once I get them hatched, they usually do fine. . But hatching...man.. it's like actual work.. I think that big ol' vault gets them stuck and they can't get their head maneuvered right to zip. . And sometimes not even to externally pip..
ETA: the one flipping over..that sounds like a head injury.. even just the smallest peck on the head can do it. Sometimes the symptoms look like wry neck, sometimes it looks neuro, buy almost always caused by an injury to their head.

I don't know, but I'd be throwing out that feed.

It is hard work. It was like having a newborn baby human all over again. I had to take mine to the vet at 3 weeks cause she had diarrhea so bad her bitt was bright red and I was constantly washing her. They gave her a shot for worming and an antibiotic and said it should clear up, two days later she still had it and I was out of KMR (so was the TSC) so I picked up the sergents brand of kitten milk to give her and within 24 hours her butt was clearing up and she was doing so much better. I think the formula didn't sit well with her. But once that was taken care of she started thriving and did so well.
