Hands on hatching and help

Today is day 26 (hatch day) for my call eggs and they all look dead! They were all alive up until day 24/25 and then this morning no draw down, no movement. So sad what shipping does to eggs!! I keep going over everything that I could have done differently but I come up with nothing. :hit

So sorry! ! I dunno how your weather has been, but if it's anything like the nonstop rain we've had here, I'd say it's to blame. I've been hatching almost dry and still having issues like humidity is too high :\

@AmyLynn2374 , she's adorable ♡♡ I have a weak spot for any baby that's neglected or otherwise left behind :'(
Her mama is an amazing mom, I know it's not her fault.. I think the baby may have gotten a double gene for the tailless-ness. Well not technically a double bc she would never have been born (it's a lethal dominant) but she has super long back legs, even for a Manx baby.. and she literally feels weightless when you pick her up..but I carry her in my robe or hoodie pocket when I'm around the house or working on the farm and she seems to be thriving. Mom still nurses her and I supplement with formula and wet food.. hope she has the same future as your girl for sure ♡♡
Oh, that's so sweet. I hope she does too!

Oh no.  :(    :hugs   So sorry!

Thanks guys! Just so disappointing. And even though they do not take that much longer then chickens, it feels like a waste of a whole month. And yes, we've had non-stop rain. Looks like my little single call is going to be alone for a bit longer then expected. I am kinda enjoying him solo, though. I will open them tomorrow. :hugs

I locked things down a day early as some of my air cells are huuuge. Everyone is just lying there very quietly....bring on the weekend!
I think my temps may have been a shade high this time so I am thinking we may see action by Friday.

I do have some good news...I locked down my batch of my own eggs tonight and (this is a first) every single egg I set made it to lockdown!! All 29 eggs looking good. Some air cells were bigger then others but I think that some are just starting to draw down. Also I set a torpedo-ish shaped egg, I'm not sure why because I know you're not supposed to set those but it slipped in and looks the furthest advanced. Probably be a first pipper...will be interesting to see it get out of that shell. Hatch is set for Friday but I definitely think I will have action sooner. And just be prepared to hear me wine about lockdown humidity in my 20. :fl

I'm so sorry! It makes me feel bad that you had such awful results with your hatch and yet the eggs you sent me are doing great. Feels all flip--flopped.
Aww, thanks! That's why I pack that way because I've had a lot of busts with shipped and I know how disappointing it can be. It makes me very happy that yours are doing good. I will just try call eggs again and again if I have to, until I get a good hatch!

Me too!! Good luck!! :jumpy
